Invited by the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, on March 28, five students from the Fine Art Department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy employ the Flag of Compassion at the Young Art Night in the museum. They challenge visitors of this evening to contemplate the concept of compassion. They do this by binding a shred of the Flag of Compassion around the wrist of the entering visitor. In addition to this, they hang the Manifesto of the Flag of Compassion monumentally in the middle of the museum and next to it they place 5 Flags on flagpoles. The intervention yields very diverse but enthusiastic responses.
